One of Elissa's passion projects is working on her Heart-to-Heart Series which honors individuals in the community who dedicate their time, energy and love to underrepresented communities in various capacities. This series of paintings are created from personal interviews with an individual (or their loved ones) and highlight the subject's dedication, time, energy and love in service to others in the community.

Babita created her Nonprofit, Phoenix Family Resource Center in Delaware. The Resource Center provides necessities to mothers and their children.
Rosanne Samluk Brandau, (1952-2024) nursing career spanned three decades and took many forms including, working in hospitals, as a school nurse and advocating for public policies. Many of her efforts were designed for the benefit of young mothers and their children through providing education and numerous lifesaving resources within their communities. Rosanne loved nursing and the women and children she served.
